- Dark Chocolate 13/4 Ounces
- Chocolate Flavored Milk 2 Cups
- Fresh white or wholewheat breadcrumbs 13/4 Cups
- Superfine Shugar ½ Cup
- Eggs 2 Pc
- Black Cherry preserve 4 Tbsp

Method
- Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a saucepan with the chocolate flavored milk. Heat gently, stirring until the chocolate melts. Bring almost to a boil, then remove the pan from the heat.
- Place the breadcrumbs in a large mixing bowl with 5 tsp of the superfine sugar. Pour the chocolate milk over the breadcrumb mixture and mix well. Beat in the egg yolks.
- Spoon into a 5-cup pie dish and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25-30 minutes, or until set and firm to the touch.
- Beat the egg whites in a large grease-free bowl until standing in soft peaks. Gradually beat in the remaining superfine sugar and continue beating until you have a glossy, thick meringue.
- Spread the black cherry preserve over the surface of the chocolate mixture and pile or pipe the meringue on top. Return the pudding to the oven for about 15 minutes, or until the meringue is crisp and golden.
